LAPTOPS FOR BLACK AND BROWN STUDENT SUCCESS

We have given away over 500 new HP 8GB touchscreen laptops and conducted 18 consecutive monthly laptop giveaways and we're just getting started.

We have raised over $15,000 and need to reach our goal of $500,000. Can you help us get there?

Check out all our updates on our fundraiser and please consider a gift to help us bring digital equity to Harlem and New York City.

Bringing Change

Parents Supporting Parents NYC inc is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work every day to promote positive change.

PARENT POWER HOUR

In September 2021 our CEO Tanesha Grant launched Parent Power Hour, a virtual space where parents could support one another regarding their dealings with the NYC Board of Education. Specifically, the NYCDOE's  continued gaslighting of parents who needed a remote option because the schools were simply not safe due to the lack of protections. Since then it has become a liberating space for especially Black and Brown parents and has featured many great speakers including two former female Black Panthers and a candidate running for office.

NYC SPEAKS

With our organization’s mission always in mind, PSPNY members have canvassed in both Manhattan and Brooklyn to bring the groundbreaking NYC Speaks survey to Black and Brown communities to make sure they have this critical input.

The NYC Speaks survey wanted to "hear from New Yorkers typically excluded from decision-making: Black and brown, low-income, immigrant, youth, NYCHA and disabled communities." So we felt that was in line with our mission. You can read more about it here.
